Requirements:


​Associate degree; or a HS diploma + 2 yrs related work experience.

Prefer one year experience in a higher educational setting with a diverse student body. Should have excellent customer service skills, be detail oriented, have ability to maintain confidential material, the ability to work effectively as a team member. Should have knowledge regarding testing procedures and good oral and written communication skills. Have good computer/software skills (Microsoft Office) and be able to use or learn Colleague and testing software. Have experience working with the public, effectively dealing with a diverse group of people and the ability to handle stressful situations during peak periods. Have a valid driver's license.

 

Job Description:

In this challenging role, you will support the Placement Testing Center at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:

-Serve as the primary greeter and receptionist for the Placement Testing Center. Greet and screen students and guests as they enter, answering questions, etc. If testing is needed, check student in or refer them to one of the testing coordinators to be checked in prior to testing. Student information is checked in Colleague and applicant is moved to student if qualified.
-Assist with administering the placement (Accuplacer), TEAS, Computer Readiness, and WorkKeys tests. Assist in monitoring students while testing. After test is complete go over test scores with students and inform them of their next steps.
-Receive phone calls and answer questions related to Testing and/or Admissions. Manage phone calls in absence of director, answering questions if possible or referring to appropriate contact. Pick up Testing mail from the mail room. Assist with yearly inventory.
-Prepare, check for accuracy, and distribute correspondence for the Director of Placement Testing. Run Accuplacer testing lists and review them to determine if all scores have imported, if not enters them. Responsible for ordering supplies and for copying or having material printed.
-Performs other job duties as assigned by the Director or Dean.

Mon - Thurs 7:45am - 5:00pm;
Fri 8:00am - 1:00pm
