A High School Diploma and two (2) years of clerical experience.

Selected positions may require the ability to type at a corrected rate of 35 words per minute.

A working knowledge of policies/procedures of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other agency programs is desirable.  Must have an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; ability to make and communicate decisions; ability to plan, assign and review work of others as well as ability to address sub-standard performance of staff.  Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.  Employee should be proficient in word processing using Microsoft Office Word; employee must possess excellent customer service skills.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Administrative Specialist II for our Greenwood County office to performs a variety of routine and advanced clerical functions, exercises judgment and uses knowledge of operations, programs, and general office procedures to make independent decisions in assisting the staff and clients in front office setting.

The Administrative Specialist II functions as lead case control receptionist for all programs (SNAP, TANF, Child and Adult Welfare).  Screens and registers new applications and re-certifications for economic services using SCWINS from walk-ins, mail or on line.

Performs job delivery and/or performance with positive or appropriate customer service delivery to clients, the public, and co-workers as an integral requirement.

Makes copies of supporting documentation and scans into SCOSA and rotates work according to RSW procedures.  Solves procedural problems using CHIP and SCOSA.

Maintains front office equipment as necessary.

Participate in Red Cross training and shelter duty or other emergency shelter/services as directed.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
