Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree is preferred.
 
Experience:
Three years prior experience in a physician practice office or medical setting is required. A working knowledge of Medical Terminology is essential to the job duties.
 
Physical Requirements:
This position requires extensive sitting and the ability to hear within normal range to take phone messages. The mental capacity to accurately prioritize requests, manipulate complicated schedules within a scheduling program and the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders in a pleasant and professional manner. Must be able to stay calm under stressful and complicated situations. The ability to use a keyboard and input data into system. External applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential functions, either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis. 
 

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for the appointment schedules of the Healthcare Center, Diabetes Education and Behavioral Health. Assists the Front Office Supervisor with re-scheduling patients based upon provider changes, answering and directing phone calls, check voice mails, maintains files, forwards medication refill requests and performs other general medical office duties.

Schedule:
Days, 8am - 5pm with some early/late rotation
