Job Description:

Eaton’s Commercial & Residential Distribution Solutions (CRDS) division is currently seeking an Assembly Coordinator -1st Shift to join our team. This position is based at our 308 Maxwell facility in Greenwood, SC. Position Overview: The Coordinator will plan, process, and request manufacturing information utilizing computer generated data reports. Schedule production units within assigned areas and assist in control of productive materials, hardware expense items and expedite shortages. Ensure all shortages for area(s) of responsibility are known to include latest promise date for each shortage and closely follow through until shortage is installed. Maintain Material Synchronization Spreadsheet for area(s) of responsibility. Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. In this function you will: Heavy focus on communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. Coordinate material in order to meet schedule ship dates. Plan and coordinate between areas. Issue material to outside vendors to make sub-assemblies. Review and update status of orders and materials with manufacturing supervisors, material control personnel, and people in work areas, customer service, and KanBan expeditors. Includes regularly scheduled multi-functional production meetings which vary from once a week to daily depending on area(s) of responsibility. Utilize computer, including the utilization of Microsoft Excel, DMM, AS400, and the Material Synchronization Spreadsheet, to maintain control of floor stock and floor records. Order stock from the storeroom. Deals with customers as needed. Initiate critical material requirements reports and prepare special reports as assigned. Process surplus, rejected and/or defective material according to procedures. Process change notices. Advise customer service of releases for shipment. Process emergency customer request orders generated by customer service. Problem solve manufacturing information by identifying missing and incorrect items, incorrect drawing revision, parts that need to be ordered and unacceptable vendor supply dates. Review status of orders and materials to identify and plan for future requirements. Ability to flex and cross-train Required to perform calibration duties and handle warranty returns as needed. Observe all safety and hygiene requirements as specified or directed. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe workplace
