Requirements:

Bachelors degree with a minimum of three years of related athletics administration experience. Master's degree is preferred. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver's license and safe driving history.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership skills as they relate to building relationships with athletes, faculty, staff and University community. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate and organize with student-athletes within the rules and regulations of Lander University, Peach Belt Conference, and NCAA DII. Strong Microsoft Office skills.

 

Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Associate Athletic Director for Student Athlete Success is responsible for assisting with the overall organization, administration, and supervision of the intercollegiate program for men and women. The Associate Athletic Director for Student Athlete Success will serve as a member of the Director of Athletics’ Executive team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the coordinating of programs and initiatives to support student athlete success and retention and serving as liaison to campus departments and organizations. The position will also serve as the primary sport administrator for numerous sports to be determined by the Director of Athletics. The Associate Athletic Director for Student Athlete Success will envision and carry out impactful programs to empower studentathlete success. Serves as Title IX representative for the athletic department.
