MinimumRequirements: A masters degree in a field related to sports administration or physical education and exercise studies. Must be National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification(NATABOC)certified and eligible for South Carolina certification. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have the ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must have understanding of methods and procedures for training athletes and working with injuries. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required, and a knowledge of women's soccer,men's basketball, and softball athletic injuries. Ability to satisfactorily teach students in the classroom.
Description:The Athletic Trainer, under the direction of the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and Sports Medicine/ Facilities,will assist with the health and welfare of all athletes competing in intercollegiate athletics.Primary sport responsibilities will be with women's soccer,men's basketball,and softball.
