Job Description:

Reviews and processes all forms related to insurance, retirement, disability, death claims and payroll changes. Meets deadlines as imposed by the Public Employee Benefits Authority/Employee Insurance Program (EIP), S.C. Retirement Systems and payroll. Monitors and verifies insurance changes sent to EIP to ensure changes are processed. Processes payroll deductions and address changes by entering information in SCEIS payroll system. Run retirement estimates and print retirement statements for employees.Counsels employees concerning insurance, benefits, retirement, payroll deductions, death benefits, LWOP, state service purchases, deferred compensation and other related benefits available to employees. Responds to employees' questions through written and/or verbal communications in order to inform employees of their options. Assists employees with the completion of forms necessary for insurance changes, retirement and payroll. Assists with conducting new employee orientation for permanent and temporary employees. Ensures that new employees are informed of available benefits options available to new employees. Ensures that I-9 forms are completed correctly on date of hire and information from I-9s are entered in E-Verity within the required deadline. Completes numerous forms as required for new employees. Prepares and maintains new hire orientation packets on hand for new employees. Assists with processing paperwork for all employees who separate from employment due to retirement, resignation, terminations and employees who enter the TERI retirement program. This includes terminating active insurance benefits and providing forms and information to employees for retiree benefits that are available at retirement. Ensures federally mandated COBRA rights are offered correctly to employees. Coordinates the agency's recruitment program.
Coordinates and schedules health and wellness programs and events for the Agency.
Coordinates the state service awards program for the Agency. Maintains an inventory of supplies needed to create and distribute awards
