Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: Strong supervisory experience or prior leadership experience is required. A high
school diploma and should possess custodial experience and/or knowledge. Must have knowledge of office
repairs, supplies, cleaning equipment, processes, and methods. Knowledge of stripping/waxing floors and
carpet cleaning. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong
ethics. A valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal, communication collegiality, and organizational
skills. Must establish strong working relationships with university faculty, staff, and students. Ability to
plan, organize, and supervise the work of the custodial workers. Ability to walk, climb stairs or ladders, and
operation of a standard passenger sedan, van, or pickup truck is essential. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and
occasional moving of furniture. Proficient computer knowledge.

Job Description:

The Manager of Custodial Services plans, directs, and manages custodial staff and services on
our campus. Supervision includes approximately 22 employees in providing cleaning and custodial services,
buildings, and residence halls covering more than 950,000 square feet. Supervises set-ups for events and
oversees the University recycle program. During summer months, responsible for overseeing the cleaning of
Residence Halls.
