Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:
Strong math skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to use tape measure and have good basic math skills in order to fill out production network.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Other skills and abilities:
Must understand computers, electrical, and electronic systems; strong blueprint reading skills. Must have understanding of machining principles, be mechanically inclined; good attention to detail.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical school desired; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with CNC equipment desired.

Job Description:

The successful candidates will have machine operating experience such as loading CNC mills and have the capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and strong attention to detail. In addition to loading components and CNC programs, milling operators clean and maintain machines, inspect machined components for accuracy, inspect cutting tools and disposition of worn or defective tools, and provide feedback and suggestions. Candidate will have machining experience and/or training.
Ensures work area is clean and clear of safety hazards
Promotes safe work practices and environment with himself/herself and those near the work area
Uses specified PPE
Maintains equipment per the established procedures and policies
Sets up milling center in accordance with training and process documentation
Completes product inspections and assures quality in accordance with the established processes
Machines product as per the department schedule or supervisor's directives
Ensures machine is functioning properly and produces quality product
Maintains machining tools

Schedule:
2nd shift 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm with some over time as needed on weekends
