CNC Operator

Looking for someone 20-25 hrs/week $18/hr. to do programming and small projects.  This will work into a full time role.

Key Responsibilities • Machine Setup and Operation: Calibrating CNC machines, setting up equipment, and operating tools for tasks such as drilling, milling, and grinding. • Blueprint Interpretation: Studying and understanding blueprints and technical drawings to guide the manufacturing process. • Material Handling: Loading raw materials, such as metal, into the machines for processing. • Quality Control: Inspecting finished products for quality and adherence to specifications, using tools like calipers and gauges to verify dimensions. • Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting minor machine problems, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. • Monitoring and Adjusting: Monitoring machine operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain precision, and leading test runs. Essential Skills and Qualifications • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of CNC software and hardware, including knowledge of different machine types (e.g., 3-axis, 5-axis) and programming (e.g., G-code). • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. • Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical abilities for calculations related to machining. • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensure precision and adherence to strict tolerances. • Safety Awareness: Strict adherence to safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment. • Experience: Student level with some minor experience
