Requirements:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Provides initial direct contact with the community through the phone, email, or in-person contacts. • Responds to requests from the community for information about available programs and volunteer opportunities. • Assists people in need by making referrals to the appropriate resource within the community. • Helps promote the ministry by participating in public relations efforts. • Assists and supports all donor and volunteer relationships and communications. • Prepares and distributes printed ministry information. • Screens all incoming phone calls, inquiries, visitors, and correspondence, and routes accordingly. • Welcome visitors and donors in a warm and friendly manner and answers any questions. • Receives, sorts and distributes donations to the shelters. • Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail. • Manages office equipment and supplies. • Maintains the Ministry Office in a clean and professional manner at all times. • Assists the staff in a manner that promotes trust, cooperation, and high levels of performance. • Other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.  

Qualifications: • Education or equivalent experience: High School diploma required; Associates Degree preferred. • License/Certification: Valid South Carolina Driver’s License. • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail. • Technologically competent, including working knowledge of Windows and databases. • Able to appropriately handle sensitive information and maintain required confidentiality. • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance.

Job Description:

 This position’s primary responsibility is to deliver information and assistance to the community and to support all donor and public relations communications.

Schedule:
40 hours per week (Non-Exempt) - Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
