12. Must be able to lift 30 lbs from squat to standing.
13. Must be computer literate.
14. Prefer knowledge of medical billing or filing, clinical procedures or medical product terminology.

Job Description:

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS #1! This position is responsible for document imaging of patient records in Webscan system, and the filing and organization of all patient records, explanations of benefits and/or payment summaries following all HIPAA standards and company policies and procedures. Occasionally, answers telephone and takes messages.

Responsibilities:
1. Software liaison on management/employee access and training.
2. Scans all claim for documentation, EOBs and other documents as required.
3. Prioritizes work chronologically, working on progressive scanning first, and the retro-scanning older records.
4. Immediately alerts customer service/billing manager of equipment or software issues.
5. Keeps all patient file information in alphabetical order and confidential.
6. Keeps physical patient files neat and organized on a daily basis; inactive records purged on a yearly basis.
7. Coordinates periodic document shredding with warehouse staff and outside vendor.
8. Occasionally answers telephone, forwards messages, and phone calls.
9. Assists front counter customers and processes retail sales when necessary.
10. Occasionally performs miscellaneous office tasks and answers phone and takes messages.
11. All other duties as required.

Schedule:
Part-Time, averaging 15 hours per week. 3-4 hours per day, 4-5 days per week. The scheduling is flexible within reason.
