Requirements:

Join our Engineering team as a Designer supporting our manufacturing operation in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. In this role you will be responsible for design and CADD prints for various types of projects. Coordinates and manages projects, ensuring completion to support the various business/departments. Duties include:
Designs various types of structures, machines and components across multiple projects.
Operates CADD program to produce blue prints for construction.
Works with others within the engineering team (including Corporate Engineering) regarding issues relating to the various projects.
Organizes and coordinates projects for duties to be performed.
Selects vendors or contractors under the direction of the Plant Engineer or Corporate Engineering to award work to be done. Ensures that work and receivables meet project specifications.
On site representative for custom tooling quality control. Works with machine shops to ensure ?right the first time? quality
May oversee contractors, vendors regarding work to be performed to ensure it is being done as required.
Investigates on-site conditions that pertain to work needed to be done
Oversees general on-site repairs that include painting, driveways, and roof repair
Maintains inter-plant relations and determines/understands the needs of other departments.
Works with others within the engineering team regarding issues relating to the various projects.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Travels to vendor sites or other facilities as needed.

Qualifications and Competencies
Associates Degree or equivalent experience in a related field of study such engineering technology
Position requires between 2-7 years of CADD project experience.
Experience sourcing vendors and managing on site contractors is needed
Ability to address constant changes in technology and software, resulting in the redesign of existing systems and/or the need to developing new ones.
Work requires the application of a variety of procedures, policies and/or precedents used in combination.
Ability to address constant changes in technology and software, resulting in the redesign of existing systems and/or the need to developing new ones.
Travel - estimated 10%. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position. Candidates must be available to work weekends and overtime as needed.
