Requirements:

Knowledge of cold call sales skills
Ability to provide reliable, flexible transportation to and from assigned territories and company office locations in all types of inclement weather.
Ability to stay outside in all types of inclement weather with appropriate clothing.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in clear and straightforward manner
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to deal with the public in a professional manner
Ability to maintain high level of self-motivation
Ability to maintain favorable relations with subscribers, vendors and employees within the service area
Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on data networking fundamentals
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to use personal computer and software applications
Ability to use hand tools in the reconnection of cable service
Knowledge and ability to perform reconnect installations at time of sale
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
Sales experience, some industry-specific sales 1-5yrs.
Cable or Telecommunications experience preferred
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Job Description:

Sells products and services through door to door solicitation to existing and new residential customers.
Meets established objectives relative to increased sales volume in assigned territories.
Solicits residential customers through door-to-door contact and explains products and services available to customers.
May be asked to perform routine audits of cable lines and services when required.
Obtains referrals from new and existing customers.
Generates incremental revenue from existing customers by adding new/additional services or upgrades.
Responds to customer problems and complaints according to established company policy; follows through to ensure issues are satisfactorily resolved.
Maintains a well-informed knowledge base of competitors’ activities throughout assigned territory; informs manager of any changing competitive pricing programs or marketing directions.
Attends and actively contributes to sales meetings and training programs.
Complete all necessary paperwork to support sales activities including sales orders, sales agreements, billing forms and sales reports in a manner consistent with quality control guidelines.
Collect and account for funds, collect equipment and provide receipts according to company policy and guidelines.
May perform certain technical functions such as installation of digital boxes, activation/disconnection of existing cable lines and installation of telephone MTA’s when requested by the company and when trained in the correct procedure.
