Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in engineering and nine(9) years of advanced journey-level engineering work experience, including three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of South Carolina as prescribed in SC. State Code Sections 40-22-20 and 40-22-30.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license is also required.

Job Description:

Under limited supervision, the employee serves as the District Engineering Administrator for District 2. Administers established departmental policies and procedures. Establishes programs, policies,and procedures ensuring the goals/objectives are met in accordance with the Department's strategic plan. Provides functional guidance ensuring that the citizens of the state and general traveling public have a safe and well maintained system of roads and bridges. Oversees and manages major construction projects, reviews and approves the recommendations of the
District Traffic Engineer, and serves as the Department's representative when meeting with elected officials and members of the general public concerning complaints and problems

Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
