Wages/Salary: $44,825.00 - $82,930.00 Annually

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in engineering and five (5) years of journey-level engineering work experience; or a bachelor's degree in engineering technology and seven (7) years of journey level engineering work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A master's degree in engineering and two (2) years of entry-level engineering work experience may be substituted for four (4) years of the five (5)years of required experience.
Must possess a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Job Description:

Assists District Construction Engineer with inspections of construction projects ensuring compliance with plans, specifications and special provisions. Assists with processing correspondence, reports, pay estimates, change orders, utility agreements and other required paperwork. Reviews project plans during preliminary engineering phases for constructibility and conformance to SCDOT standards. Supervises the District Asphalt Manager, District Scheduler,District Utility Coordinator and Outdoor Advertising Coordinator. Assists District Quality Management Team review construction projects for compliance with department standards. Serves as District 2 Title II Coordinator. Coordinates LPA projects in District 2. Performsrelated duties as required by District Construction Engineer.
