RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Process Patients
- Answer telephones and triage calls
- Schedule appointments
- Verify patient insurance benefits
- Process patients
- Process medical records
- Process patient payments and balance daily charges
- Manage and organize inventory of office supplies and forms
- Perform other tasks as requested by practice manager or physicians
2. Patient Relations
- Welcome and acknowledge patients according to company standard
- Anticipate and address patient needs, assist individuals both in the office and over the phone.
- Monitor busy or unanswered lines, check back with callers on hold to update status, take messages.
- Log patient contact information, patient status and notes into computer to allow for proper lead tracking.
- Enter and locate insurance information, appointments, and financial info. Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time.
- Ensure adherence to confidentiality and quality standards.
- Establish bond with prospective and established patients
- Screen refractive surgery patient consults in the office as well as on the phone.
- Monitor the tracking program for refractive surgery patients. Tracking calls, conversion rates, and no shows
- Conduct refractive surgery closings
- Knowledgeable about all aspects of Refractive Surgery
- Able to communicate the benefits of Lasik Surgery as well as overcome objections from patients.
- Follow through with patient questionnaire surveys of refractive surgery patients, to help improve future experiences of surgery patients.
- Follow up with phone call if post op questionnaire has not been received.
- Maintain a kudos book of testimonial letters and thank you notes.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisor.
**NextGen and/or Practice Management Software & EHR experience desired **
