Requirements:

High School diploma, GED, or demonstrated equivalent language and math skills required, additional training or education related to the job duties is a plus.

Prior experience in metal fabrication required; direct welding experience strongly preferred. Previous work experience in an inspection capacity strongly preferred. Skilled at reading and understanding blueprints, gauges, and product specifications (i.e. take dimensions, verify features, etc.). Ability to follow set standards and procedures when making decisions. Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and complete multiple assignments within deadlines. Solid communication skills (verbal, written) for documenting and reporting findings.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, & Excel). Demonstrated ability to work independently, with little supervision, to meet deadlines. Good interpersonal skills to work with team members, customers, and vendors in identifying issues, trends, and finding solutions. Strong initiative to seek management guidance in resolving a variety of issues.

Job Description:

Front-line Quality Assurance Inspection position in a metal fabrication / manufacturing environment. Responsible for inspecting product at all phases of production, including: raw materials, fabricated / welded components, and finished / painted / assembled products. Will work directly with production / manufacturing personnel, design staff, and others to ensure product meets quality and customer specifications. Required to log and submit reports on quality issues, rejected items, and suggest future preventive action. As a team member, you will meet with production workers, customers, and vendors to discuss quality specifications. Occasional travel required.
