Requirements:

Must be 18 or older. Must be accepted/enrolled in a 4 year college/university. Enthusiastic, energetic, creative, and responsible. Current TB test. Good swimmer (preferred). Must be committed to attending every day (on time)

Job Description:

Lead small groups of rising 8th graders through daily schedule with energy and enthusiasm. Assist in assuring the safety of students at all times. Participate in all activities with their groups, making the institute fun for the students, teaching skills, and providing encouragement and support. Be creative and hands on while assisting students in group projects. Serve as a role model to the students by demonstrating high standards of personal conduct. Set high expectations for the students, both academically and socially. Assist with planning activities. Report any incidents to the College Support Specialists. Give presentations on the college you attend. Assist with group tours on college field trips.

June 22-25 (7:30 am ? 5:30 pm) GEAR UP Summer Institute at Laurens Middle School
