Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and five ( 5) years related experience in Human Resources Management programs required. Prefer Masters degree in Human Resources management and 10 years experience working in the HR functional areas with progressive leadership responsibility. SC State government experience and/or experience working in a higher education environment is strongly preferred. A valid driver's license and safe driving history required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of S.C. state HR regulations and policies. Knowledge of federal laws and state regulations affecting human resources management. Knowledge of management and organizational concepts. Specific knowledge of employee relations within state government is preferred. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to analyze needs and resources and to recommend and communicate solutions effectively. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting a variety of policies and procedures. Ability to direct and advise technical staff members

Job Description:

Provides vision, strategic direction, leadership and oversight of a comprehensive human resources program to include all aspects of recruitment and employment, classification and compensation, benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, and training and development. Advises employees and management on human resources issues. Works with and advises management on employee relations matters to include performance and disciplinary issues. Participates in forecasting staffing needs, strategic planning, compensation plans, studies and budgetary matters. Directs the development and implementation of diversity programs and the University's EEO/AA plan. Serves as the campus EEO/ AA Officer and Deputy Title IX Compliance Officer . 

Schedule:
University Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
Position Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
