Wages/Salary: $45,530.00 - $55,000.00 Annually
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems. A degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Must have strong technical skills, provide excellent customer service, and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required.
Preferred Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Systems or related discipline is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated expertise with common software applications and proficient skills in a wide variety of applications, operating systems, protocols and equipment used in customer-facing and educational organizations are required. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a wide range of consumer to prograde information technology resources. Familiarity with moderately complex analytical methods and ITIL framework highly desired. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced Team environment and managing competing priorities. Previous experience in Higher Education is a plus. Provide advice and assistance to individual customers and smaller groups. Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal with customers, peers, and management.
The Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) seeks an experienced technician to coordinate student technology support. The successful candidate will provide hands-on management of Lander University’s Technology Resource Assistance Center for Students (TRACS); deliver technology support to faculty, staff and other members of the campus community; effectively collaborate with manager and ITS team members to securely manage, maintain, deploy, and update computing resources while providing excellent customer service. The Student Technology Coordinator will ensure rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices throughout service delivery.
