Requirements:

? High School Diploma or equivalent required
? Bachelor?s or Associate?s degree preferred
? Minimum of five years maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
? Two years supervisory experience preferred.
? Experience with Preventative/Planned Maintenance processes and procedures; ability to develop Preventive Maintenance procedures and schedules preferred.
? Experience working with and maintaining overhead cranes, welding machines, hydraulic equipment, and CNC equipment preferred.
? Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and mechanical schematics.
? Ability to follow company policy and procedure in a manner consistent with CMC?s Guiding Principles.
? Working knowledge of computers and computer software, including Microsoft Office applications and Preventative Maintenance management software.
? Able to lead, motivate, and inspire employees to work within a team environment.
? Ability to diagnose problems with and determine courses of action for repairing: pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and electronics.
? Ability to multi-task.
? Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
? Candidates need to be self-motivated, self-starters with the ability to contribute in a busy production environment.

Job Description:

? Safety ? Our basic philosophy is to not take chances ? ?No amount of personal risk is worth any amount of production.?
? Plays an important role in the safety of the plant - is a safety champion. Sits on Safety Committee.
? Quality ? Focus on quality issues and errors and take the lead for eliminating the root causes for chronic machine breakdowns.
? Performs repairs and Preventive Maintenance. Schedules Preventive Maintenance and coordinates with production and operations. This is a hands-on Supervisor and will be expected to troubleshoot and perform some amount of hands-on maintenance.
? Identifies and takes action on continuous improvement efforts in the areas of machine uptime, safety, and productivity.
? Maintenance Planning ? ability to plan work for the maintenance department based on reasonable estimates of the amount of labor in each work order. Ensure that all supplies and parts required for Preventative Maintenance activities are available and on-site.
? Schedules work, provides assignments with estimates to completion, conducts follow-ups and communicates with superiors, subordinates and peers.
? Collects cost information, develops preventive maintenance procedures, performs employee supervisory activities (including timekeeping), and identifies areas for continuous improvement.
? Assists in developing and implementing the capital planning, plant equipment procurement and installation, design and operations needs of the facility.
? Provides guidance and direction to staff including hiring, disciplinary action, staff development, goal formulation and performance review. Supports company?s policies and procedures including AA/EEO goals.
? Training & Development ? Set-up training programs to cross-train and re-train employees for their day-to-day tasks. Provide opportunities for employees to grow professionally and personally.
? Communication ?
o Conduct weekly crew meetings that focus on safety, planning, quality, and company policies and culture
o Daily communication with other supervisors including:
 Work Order status ? including warnings when the plan is not being met
 Preventative Maintenance activities and the need for machines to be turned over to the maintenance department for Preventative Maintenance
 Availability of manpower
? Managing External Resources ? At times experts in certain fields are required to complete repairs, installations, etc. Ability to contact these individuals and companies, procure quotes for defined activities, and execute the work. Ability to deal with government agencies, including SC DHEC and SC OSHA.
? Manages the activities of contractors and vendors.
? Accepts change in a productive manner.
? Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday Day Shift, with overtime to include evenings and weekends as needed.
