Wages/Salary: Hire Range: $ 33,494– $ 47,734 annually

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and experience in caring for and working with horses as well as a valid driver's license and safe driving history required. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. Requires weekly/monthly travel and daily driving of university vehicles.

Preferred Requirements: An Associates degree in animal health technology or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of prevention and treatment of injuries and illnesses of horses. Ability to maintain accurate records, coordinate schedules, and communicate effectively. 

Job Description:

The Manager of Equestrian Operations will be responsible for all operational aspects of the Lander University Equestrian Center including, but not limited to: ordering supplies, maintaining the pasture and arena areas, scheduling care for the horses, communicating with all constituents, and creating and maintaining accurate records. Schedules and supervises temporary employees and student workers. Carries out medical treatment for horses. Assists the Equestrian Coach and Therapeutic Riding Coordinator with transporting horses and arena set-up. Analyzes and maintain Equestrian budget. Communicates all necessary information to Executive Director of Student Life and Engagement and other campus offices as to events, shows, and other occurrences at the Equestrian Center. Reviews and updates promotional material and website as needed.

Schedule:
University Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
Position Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
