Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Minimum 2-5 years' experience in electrical and mechanical systems or related field.
Applicant must have at least one year of experience in a related field.
Must be mechanically and/or electrically inclined.
Have the capability (through training) to understand and troubleshoot complex operating systems and controls.
Capable of making appropriate decisions during emergency situations.
Good physical condition.
Able to work during inclement weather, rotating shifts, and overtime.
Heavy lifting and climbing tall structures (at heights up to 200 feet) are also required.
Ability to wear a respirator and to maintain annual respirator qualification required.
Preferred:
Previous Combined-Cycle Power Plant Operations experience preferred.
Education Requirements
A High School diploma accredited by an organization that is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or one of the entities recognized by the U. S. Dept. of Education or GED.
Job Description:
Dominion Energy has an opening for a Combined Cycle Technician at the Jasper Generating Station located in Jasper County near Hilton Head, SC and Savannah, GA.
Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting in the continuous operation and maintenance of plant equipment by regularly monitoring, maintaining, and keeping records on plant equipment.
Assists supervisor by isolating and tagging equipment for maintenance and preparing equipment for operation.
Train and become proficient in plant systems knowledge with the goal of qualifying as a Control Room Operator.
The company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications outlined below.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above/below).
