*High school diploma or GED equivalent with one to two years of experience in the computer operations, general accounting, cash handling, or customer service experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Job Description:

Process utility payments for City customers, set up accounts for new water and/or electric service, maintain a daily cash drawer and prepare payments for deposit. Along with those tasks, other responsibilities include, but not limited to, handling customer inquiries and complaints, prepare work orders, and answer phone calls regarding customer accounts and billing.

You must have a high degree of detail and accuracy with the ability to identify customer problems and offer solutions while maintaining a quick pace and approachable demeanor to all customers. A Customer Service Representative will occasionally assist customers with business licenses, collect fees associated with local hospitality and accommodations taxes, and collect payments for other City departments and assign to proper accounts.
