A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Candidate will be asked to create an Excel and Power Point document during the interview. Candidate will also be required to take a typing test.
A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration
Advanced skill in MS Office Suite
Corrected typing speed of 60 words per minute
Occasional weekend and evening work required.
Provide complex administrative support and program assistance to the President and multiple directors/managers. Serve as the President's liaison to the Board of Trustees, Executive Council and other groups. Provide administrative support to the Board of Trustees and the Foundation Board of Directors. Respond to inquiries from the general public and appropriately refer callers and visitors. Maintain President's calendar, schedule appointments, answer phone, and compose and prepare routine correspondence. Arrange meetings (Executive Council, Board of Trustees, and Foundation Board of Directors), prepare meeting agendas and publish and distribute meeting minutes. Plan, coordinate, and execute special activities and programs and serve as agency liaison for special events. Perform public information functions which include coordination of agency's quarterly newsletter, updating and maintaining availability of agency's promotional literature, maintaining the agency's website and coordinating publication of the agency's employee newsletter. Serve as Agency Records Officer ensuring agency is in compliance with policies set forth by the SC Department of Archives and History. Manage incoming and outgoing mail for the agency including staff, faculty, and student mail. Establish and maintain positive relationships with local agencies, visitors, media representatives, friends of the agency and other stakeholders. Complete special projects or assignments as directed by the agency head. Maintain both the highest level of professionalism and strictest confidentiality of information to which exposed in the Office of the President.
