Job Description:

General Responsibilities: Maintain prompt hours; notify Director in event of illness. Maintain neat and clean appearance. Work with all other staff members in a cooperative manner. Attend staff meetings; report problem of child or room management to the Director promptly.
Attend in-service training; keep up to date on developments in field of early childhood education.
Follow personnel policies of Piedmont Agency on Aging.
Oversee the after-school program including supervision of the staff. Provide planning and execution of appropriate early childhood education experiences with a variety of materials in fields of art, music, literature, science, mathematics, etc. Promote and supervise activities, which promote the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child. Provide and maintain a neat organized classroom; take responsibility for upkeep of all educational equipment and materials. Disinfect toys and properly clean room daily. Use basic good hygiene when changing diapers, before and after eating, etc. Assist in development of good nutrition habits.
Help children establish good habits of toilet-training and personal hygiene. Maintain records required by DSS such attendance rolls, etc. Supervise all activities to insure safety of each child at all times. Other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Schedule:
Morning and afternoon part time hours available up to 28 hours per week.
