Must have the ability to be bonded, pass a SLED/FBI criminal background check, pass a pre-employment drug test and physical. Have an Associate?s Degree in business administration, social services, public administration, or related field with two years? experience in public relations or any equivalent combination of training and education. Experience in rental property and being multi-lingual are highly desirable. Must be able to obtain the Public Housing Manager certification within a year of hire and have a valid S.C. driver?s license with a good driving record. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
The Greenwood Housing Authority is taking applications for the Resident Initiatives/Facilities Coordinator position. Primary responsibilities are, but not limited to: Oversees, creates, and maintains resident programs, organizations and supervises any resident employees. Plan, coordinate, and implement various programs and services that will provide GHA residents with educational, employment, healthcare and homeownership opportunities to enhance their quality of life. Schedules/manages community buildings for use by public, residents and staff. Prepares grant request to the SC Education Department to host hot Summer Lunch Program for Housing Residents. Schedules and oversees tenant meetings. Responsible for community service program compliance. Prepares and publishes resident monthly newsletter. Performs duties of Public Housing Rentals and the Administrative Coordinator as needed. Performs other duties as required.
