Qualified Candidates should have the following:
- Associate's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
- At least 2 years of controls related experience preferred
- Knowledge of PLC and/or robotic programming methods and principles
- Aptitude and ability to learn Kuka, Fanuc, ABB and Mitsubishi software
- Skills to coordinate with other engineers, programmers, and vendors on systems and machines
- Basic understanding of mechanical design and applications
- Proficient using Microsoft Office products
- Basic knowledge of CAD software
- Ability to update programs, prints, spreadsheets, etc.
Robot Programmer
RL Enterprise Recruiting and Staffing is hiring for our client in Newberry, SC. This is a DIRECT HIRE position and some relocation assistance is offered.
Day Shift Mon-Fri 7am-4p + Some Overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities
· Write and teach robot programs for new designed robotic cells using Kuka/Fanuc/ABB robQots
· Write programs for new designed automatic and semi-automatic machines and conveyor systems using Mitsubishi PLC
· Debug and test new or modified robotic and PLC programs on production floor
· Conduct comprehensive machine and system testing
· Assist with developing operators manual and training for newly designed robotic cells, machines, and conveyor systems
· Assist in risk assessment of newly designed machines
· Assist with conceptual design of the operation of new/custom equipment and components
· Conduct necessary research when working on new equipment
· Help refine and develop programming standards and methods
· Support and assist installation and maintenance team
· Other duties as assigned by Automation Leader
· Complete management and coordination of all assigned projects
