1.)What is the goal of the program?
This program is designed to provide a learning environment that fosters the development of a student’s nursing skills and thereby enhances future success in the nursing program. As a Student Nurse Extern you will deliver direct patient care under the supervision of the RNs on your unit. You will be assigned to a RN mentor(s) who will provide coaching and feedback about your performance.

2.)How long is the Student Nurse Extern Program?
This is a 10-week program starting at the end May through the beginning of August. You will work 36 hours per week with the opportunity to work different shifts.

3.)When are applications taken?
The Student Nurse Extern position will be posted on the Roper Saint Francis Healthcare Website at the beginning of January through March 1st.

4.)When is the deadline to apply?
Applications must be submitted no later then March 1st 2009.

5.)What are the qualifications?
