Requirements:
  • Be willing to collaborate with teachers in order to provide quality care for children & families, establish a quality program
  • Report to school office at beginning of school day to pick up required materials/schedule of classes and at the end of the school day to return materials
  • Follow sign in/sign out procedures as prescribed by the principal
  • Assume duties of the regular classroom teacher promptly and in accordance with school rules
  • May supervise students in out-of-class settings 
  • Instruct students regarding a variety of classroom topics/courses of instruction, as determined by the Teacher's lesson plan
  • Assign reasonable tasks and homework to students in accordance with the Teacher's Lesson plans
Job Description:

Substitute teachers support teachers who are absent from work by providing backup for their classrooms. Their responsibilities include: 

  • Lesson plans: Following the teacher's lesson plan or creating one if it's not available 
  • Learning objectives: Implementing the teacher's learning objectives 
  • Student monitoring: Keeping an eye on students 
  • Classroom management: Maintaining discipline and a safe learning environment 
  • Classroom activities: Facilitating classroom activities 
  • Reports: Filing reports for the teacher, such as attendance, lesson plan progress, and disciplinary actions 
  • Homework: Assigning and checking homework
Schedule:
Flexible, If needed the hours are 7 am until 3:30 pm
