Essential Skills and Experience:
• Four year degree in computer science, electrical engineering, industrial automation, or equivalent IT experience required
• Project experience in implementing IT systems and project management methods
• Knowledge of industrial business processes, particularly the automotive industry
• Programming skills in C and C++
• Solid knowledge of MS Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to think logically and analytically
Role Expectations:
Provides daily operational support for:
• End of line test systems
• Demand coordination to ensure production and quality needs are met
• Second level support for test bench systems
• Knowledgebase documentation
Position Responsibilities:
• Ensure the test bench systems perform according to operational objectives including but not limited to product specification, governmental regulations, process performance targets, and internal and external customer requirements
• Provide technical clarification and resolve problems that impede production.
• Coordinate with the central software development department in Germany to ensure the IT concepts for test benches are implemented efficiently at local site
• Manage IT projects for test benches and related equipment or interfaces
• Gather, analyze, document, and program changes/enhancements in conjunction with local departments such as planning, production, quality and maintenance.
• Trains the plant automation team and helps them in resolving problems or issues affecting the test bench systems
• Assist with and administer IT projects in the production area
• Document problems and solutions in standard systems
• Support TS16949 processes
• Support plant-wide 5S activities by maintaining an orderly work area compliant with 5S requirements
• Travel locally and internationally as required
