Requirements:

Registered as Therapeutic Riding Instructor by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required.
Knowledgeable of computers and Microsoft Office, Strong interpersonal leadership, critical thinking, decision making, communication, collegiality, and organizational skills. Must have ability establish strong working relationships with university faculty, staff, students, and the community. Ability to work independently without continuous supervision. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Description:

This 10 month position oversees the Lander University Equestrian Center's Therapeutic Riding Program. Responsible for direct treatment for riders including evaluation, treatment planning, consultation with riders' physicians, therapists and caregivers regarding progress. Mentors instructors through the certification process for NARHA ( North American Riding for the Handicapped Association). Coordinates volunteers for the Lander Equestrian Center. Speaks to students, parents, volunteers, company representatives and other members of the community on behalf of the Lander Equestrian Center.
