Requirements:

A 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Trains to operates dump trucks in hauling materials and equipment to job sites. Operates dump trucks with sand spreader and snow plow attached once training is complete. During roadway maintenance and repairs, sets up signs and performs flagging operations at job sites to safely direct traffic through work zones around workers and equipment. Performs duties in the repair of state bridges, roads, and buildings using necessary gas and electric power tools, and hand tools, including chain saws, shovels, rakes, and lutes. Performs duties using manual labor, in
maintenance tasks such as clearing of rights-of-way, cleaning drainage ditches, repairing shoulders, patching potholes, paving driveways, cutting down trees, and laying sideline/crossline pipes. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)/ full-Time
