MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human
Resources Regulations.
A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid
Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position.
However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if
no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.

Assists in the replacement of all required signs for streets and bridges on primary and secondary roads in Newberry County in accordance with the MUTCD and department policy. Assists in
completing the required paperwork and computer logging of replaced installed signs; as well as
monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Trains to operate 5 yard dump truck hauling equipment
and materials to and from job sites. Performs other related duties as required for normal daily
operations including flagging, work-zone setup and take down, follow vehicle driving, small
power tool operation, tree removal,etc. Performs other related duties as required for stand-by
crew rotation, emergencies, snow-ice, and equipment operation including plow, loader, or
spreader, requiring right-of-way debris removal.
