Requirements:

Associate's degree in graphic design or relevant field of study and three (3) years of professional experience in graphic design and web design. Associate's degree in graphic design or relevant field of study and three (3) years of professional experience in graphic design and web design. Strong web development and graphic design skills. Must have strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Must have experience and technicals in web design, coding and HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Must be able to work with and supervise a team to plan and execute graphic design and web design projects. Must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Must possess excellent organization and critical thinking skills.

Job Description:

Manages and oversees the web development and graphics section of the Communications Office for the South Carolina Department of Public Safety. Responsible for all web site design and updates, graphics projects, photography and social media for the agency. Designs visual aids and graphics to support SCDPS messages, goals, and mission. Coordinates and plans social media and marketing strategies for various safety campaigns under the supervision of the Communications Director. Coordinates and provides simple to moderately complex photography or video recording services for agency events and ceremonies. Oversees web updates and new web and graphic design projects as well as managing social media platforms. Works with Office of Highway Safety and Justice Programs (OHSJP) and other DPS offices on graphic design projects for safety campaigns, the State Fair and other projects as needed
