A bachelor's degree and work experience in marketing, public relations, human resources, health and wellness, or nutrition management.
A high school diploma and four (4) years of work experience in marketing, public relations, human resources, health and wellness, or nutrition management.
Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources. Ability to become knowledgeable of rules and regulations of the Public Employee Benefits Authority/Employee Insurance Program and S.C. Retirement Systems. Knowledge of principles and practices for leading a worksite wellness program. Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
Provides education and activities that promote healthy lifestyles to DPS employees. Coordinates a program that can raise awareness and reinforce good health and wellness behaviors. Leads a wellness program to promote healthy initiatives or events.
Coordinates the state service awards program and charitable campaigns for the agency.
Assists with administering state benefits to employees and conducts new employee orientation for permanent and temporary employees. Ensures that I-9 forms are completed and E-Verify is processed in a timely manner.
Reviews and processes all paperwork related to insurance, retirement and separation of employees.
Coordinates the agency's recruitment program.
