Estimated Cost of Attendance

To determine your financial need, the Office of Financial Aid uses a Cost of Attendance Budget.

The cost of attendance is the estimated total amount of an academic year’s expenses to attend Piedmont Technical College. These estimated costs are used to calculate your financial aid award, and are not the same as your billing statement. Due to federal guidelines, we are unable to award financial aid that exceeds the total Cost of Attendance

For direct costs involved in attending PTC, visit the tuition page.

For determining your need and awarding aid, we use both the direct costs for which you will be billed (tuition/fees) AND other costs associated with a college education, such as room and board, books and supplies, average loan fees, transportation costs (to and from home or commuting to school) and miscellaneous expenses (hygiene products, clothing, social events, etc.)

All components of the cost of attendance budgets are for the 2022-23 academic year (fall and spring terms).

Listed below are estimated cost of attendance numbers for a full-time student at Piedmont Technical College (Greenwood, McCormick, Newberry, Saluda County residents). Sample 9 month (fall/spring terms) cost of attendance budget based on 12 credit hours per term.

Students, please note: your actual cost of attendance can be found in PTC Pathway.
