Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology or closely related field, 3 years of full-time teaching at a technical college or career center, and at least one year working in an industrial setting performing machinist related duties.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive knowledge in Machine Tool Technology, including manual machining, tooling, feeds and speeds, characteristics of machinable materials, and knowledge of teaching principles related to teaching adult learners. Knowledge of MasterCam or other CAD/CAM related software.

Job Description:

In this challenging role, you will support the Skilled Trades and Technical Training department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:

-Design and teach public offerings, workshops, and customized training in Machine Tool Technology, including but not limited to, CNC Mills and Lathes, tooling, speeds and feeds, applied shop math, precision measurements, CNC Programming, Mastercam, and other related topics.

-Consult with industry customers to evaluate and understand training needs to drive industry performance.

-Coordinate and communicate with Training Program Manager to maximize the use of work hours in delivering training to customers.

-Assist in marketing of public offering and training services by advising potential students and selling programs to local industry representatives.

-Assist in procuring necessary training materials, supplies, and equipment in order to effectively deliver training classes and meet customer needs.

-Develop and prepare customized instructional materials as needed for the manufacturing industry, including handouts and PowerPoint presentations in order to effectively teach course material.

-Seek out and engage in professional development activities in order to develop and maintain current skills.

-Performs other duties, as assigned.
