Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, or certified medical assistant
with 3-5 years recent experience working in an ambulatory care setting;

1+ year of adult academic instruction.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-Current licensed registered nurse or certified medical assistant with a minimum of
an Associates? Degree;

-4-6 years recent experience in ambulatory healthcare setting in both the clerical and administrative areas.

-2-3 years supervisory experience;

-Excellent communication skills;

-Working knowledge of program management in health care classes, including
course development of entry and advanced level programs;

-Ability to exercise reasonable judgment/discretion/handle problems in a
professional manner;

-Ability to work with minimal supervision in coordination of classes, lecture and practicum requirements

Job Description:

In this challenging role, you will support the CCD/EHS department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:

-Instruct in all areas of Medical Assistant program including clerical and clinical areas in the day and/or evening program as needed

-Develop syllabi, lesson plans, exams that are in accordance with program standards, CAAHEP curriculum requirements and current industry standards and expectations

-Prepare and deliver assessments and instructional lesson plans

-Assess and evaluate the adult learner comprehension and competency; appropriately and effectively manage the classroom environment; proactively identify and report issues that may hinder student retention/success to the Program Director in a timely manner

-Serve as the program liaison with local medical practices and secure new affiliations; update College affiliation agreements

-Assign students to Practicum sites as well as perform site visits; ensure all required practicum documentation is completed prior to and after students' practicum

-Develop and maintain relationships with individuals, other instructors, businesses and peers, medical practices
