Job Description:

Performs all aspects of purchasing maintenance items, materials, and services per guidelines of State Procurement Code of Rules and Regulations and SCDOT policy. Requires extensive use and knowledge of the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) and verbal as well as written communication with outside vendors and Department personnel. Maintains an accurate filing system for Procurement Audits. Performs other related duties as required including, but not limited to: radio message relay, handling and routing telephone and walk-in calls from public and internal personnel, and compiling internal and external correspondence. Executes State Procurement Card purchases according to the SCDOT Purchasing Card Program Policy and Procedures Manual; verifies all aspects card purchases, and forwards receipts/invoices to Liaison. Acts as liaison for other cardholder(s). Utilizes HMMS in execution of duties dealing with contract vendors for copiers, janitorial, recycling, and mowing; maintenance stockpiles, work requests, and other requirements as a result of SCDOT Legislative Audit. Assists Resident Maintenance Engineer and other Senior staff with use and accounting of fiscal maintenance budget, requiring use of various and multiple computer programs and systems. Handles matters that need attention in the absence of Administrative Assistant. Other related duties as required including during emergencies, snow/ice, inclement weather, or project-specific duties.
