Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college is required, preferably with a major in communications, journalism,English or a related field. Prior sports information experience is required. Work experience in a collegiate environment is preferred. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required.

Job Description:

The Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Media is responsible for the day to day publicity for the athletic program. Duties include, providing timely news releases, updating statistical data and serving as a liaison between the school, opposing schools, the Peach Belt Conference, NCAA, and local, regional and state media. Responsible for the day to day management of the sports information office including staffing home events and select road events, updating the website and archiving history of programs, producing social media, graphics, online guides, game programs and schedule cards and posters. This position serves as primary contact for all of Lander's 11 varsity sports. The Director and his office will be tasked with working closely with multiple constituencies to provide technical and design support for specific athletic events with statisticians, PA announcers, score board operators, photographers,etc.

Schedule:
Work Hours: Varied to include nights, weekends and some overnight travel.
