Assists in performing roadway inspections on Interstate, Primary, and secondary roadways in Newberry County and documents all deficiencies with proper routing in HMMS within appropriate timeframes established by policy. Assists in performing guardrail inspection on Interstate 26 and other roads within Newberry County, documenting all deficiencies and submitting proper documents for repairs and reimbursements. Performs median cablerail inspection on Interstate 26 within Newberry County, documenting all deficiencies and submitting proper documents for repairs and reimbursements. Performs rest area inspection. Assists in maintaining drawing and engineering data files, including road-specific files for all work done on State maintained roads in Newberry County. Other related duties as required, including during emergencies, snow/ice,inclement weather, or project-specific duties. Assists Engineering Staff to perform preparatory work gathering quantities for all types of upcoming contracts as well as routine maintenance work and entering data into HMMS.
