Associate degree plus two (2) years' directly related work experience; or high school diploma plus four (4) years' directly related work experience. Associate degree in HVACR with experience in hot and chilled water systems, D/X, ventilation systems, electric and electronic controls, motor control centers (single and three phase), and lighting systems; and be able to read blueprints, and understand specifications and wiring schematics.
Provide the variety of general and highly technical tasks necessary to support the maintenance on all HVAC and related mechanical systems owned or operated by Spartanburg Community College, including but not limited to all varieties of D/X systems, hot and chilled water systems which consist of two (2) and four (4) pipe configurations. Provide the same for pneumatic, electric, and electronic control systems. Additional duties include participation in the College's Indoor Air Quality, Energy Conservation, and preventive maintenance programs resulting in uninterrupted HVAC equipment operation. The same support will be required from time to time at the College's remote campus locations.
