A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Minimum License/Certification Required by Law: Active current and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistance certification in the appropriate state. Should be a certified nurse assistant in accordace with the laws of the issuing state. If a CNA certification is obtained in one state the candidate can reciprocity in the state of Georgia.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing care to ensure resident safety; provides exercise; Assists residents in/out of bed using the correct method of transfer; assist residents in bathing, dressing/undressing; personal grooming; oral hygiene; trimming nails; skin care/shaving; assist residents to/from acitivies and meals; assist residents with meals including feeding; passing food trays; understands and utilizes care plans; collect stool and uring samples as needed; clean bedpans; empty catheter bags; provides external/indwelling catheter care; display proper use of lift equipment; offer fluids at appropriate times; documents within extablish guidelines; provides for bowel and bladder training/provides colostomy care; provides range of motion exercises; provides routine care for bedfast patient; recognize and report signs/symptons of abuse or change in condition; removes bedding and replaces clean linens per schedule or condition; and takes vital signs
7 am til 3 pm; 3 pm til 11 pm; and
11 pm til 7 am
