Wages/Salary: AGENCY HIRING RANGE - MIN: $32,117.00 AGENCY HIRING RANGE - MAX: $57,695.00
An associate's degree in electronics technology and three (3) years of experience in electronics
equipment, system engineering, maintenance or repair; or an approved acceptable equivalence
in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license.
Employee will receive approximately ninety (90) days of on the job training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with FCC and FAA rules and regulations governing communications and radio tower
structures.
A valid FCC License or NABER certification.
Experience in two-way RF communications.
Under limited supervision, maintains a statewide conventional, duplex and trunked two-way
communications system. Troubleshoot and repair all communication and associated electronic
equipment using assigned test equipment and service manuals. Performs preventive
maintenance and operational tests on mobile, portable and base station communications
equipment. Provides installation and removal of all base and mobile communications
equipment. Provides assistance in tower installations, grounding, maintenance and facility
structured wiring. Creates programming templates and programs all required communications
equipment using assigned laptop. Ensures assigned vehicle is kept clean, serviced and
organized and that all required equipment, tools and parts are readily available. Performs other
related duties as required.
