A bachelor's degree in engineering; or a bachelor's degree in engineering technology and two (2) years of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Job Description:

Trains in the management of construction projects. Assists with ensuring contractor is performing all work in accordance with SCDOT specifications and policies. Trains in the inspection of all phases of construction work, including, pipe, asphalt, concrete, earthwork and base. Trains in the use of Site Manager. Enters all field notes into daily work reports and verifies correctness. Assists in erosion control and traffic control inspections. Assists in project closeout. Assists in coordination with utilities. Trains in the use of survey equipment and software for construction layout and contractor survey verification. Performs other duties as assigned by RCE.
