A bachelor's degree in engineering; or a bachelor's degree in engineering technology and two (2) years of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
Assists with monitoring construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications, and standards. Assists projects engineers with project management duties and Site Manager data entry. Performs project inspection duties as needed, including earthwork, asphalt, concrete, and erosion control inspections. Uses survey equipment and software to verify contractor's line grade. Assists in monitoring traffic control on assigned projects to ensure the approved traffic control plan is being followed. Performs project closeout duties. Serves as the agency's representative when meeting the contractors, general public, property owners, and utility company representatives in answering questions, resolving disputes, and satisfying complaints. Performs other related duties as required.
