Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in engineering and two (2) years of entry-level engineering work
experience; or a bachelor's degree in engineering technology and four (4) years of entry-level engineering work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Job Description:

Coordinates and manages the operations of District 2 asphalt plant inspection team. Performs and monitors procedures for compliance with specifications. Supervises and schedules asphalt plant inspector(s) to perform inspections at asphalt plants. Reviews daily asphalt plant reports for accuracy, verifies pay factors for mix produced and submits paperwork to Resident Construction Engineers for preparation of pay estimates. Maintains asphalt production project records and reviews all asphalt paperwork to identify trends and developing issues with mix production. Reviews the placement of asphalt on roadways to ensure compliance to specifications and identifies issues with the placement of asphalt. Trains roadway inspectors.Acts as SCDOT District 2 representative on asphalt issues. Reviews the issues and makes recommendations to resolve the issues. Performs other related duties as required.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)- Full-Time
