Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in engineering and one (1) year of entry-level engineering work experience; or a bachelor's degree in engineering technology and three (3) years of entry-level engineering work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Job Description:

Acts as the District Bridge Team Leader. Plans the bridge inspection schedule and assigns various duties to team member. Performs in-depth bridge inspections and prepares technical inspection reports and structure inventory and appraisal sheets. Determines the preliminary structural condition and the safe load limit until a more comprehensive structural analysis can be performed by Headquarters Personnel. Coordinates and supervises all District Bridge Inspection activities. Advises the District and County Maintenance Engineers as to priority and type bridge maintenance required. Transports and operates the State's Underbridge Inspection Unit and assists in the planning of traffic control as needed for the unit's operation and the safety of the traveling public.

Monday - Friday (8:00 - 4:30)/ Full-Time
